Senator Claire Chandler was elected to Federal Senate for Tasmania in 2019.
She has risen through the ranks of the Liberal party, first as Secretary and then President of the Federal Young Liberal Movement of Australia and then as the Chair of the Liberal party Roundtable into female Engagement.
She was raised in the Huon Valley and studied law at the University of Tasmania before working in risk advisory for Deloitte in Hobart.
Senator Chandler entered politics to help ensure that the next generation of Tasmanians will have the opportunity to live, work and raise a family in her beautiful state; to stand up for the crucial democratic values of freedom of speech and freedom of expression, and to show young Australians that you can make a difference and make your voice heard in Canberra.
