Multicultural EQUIP Workshop: Western Sydney | 9 May 2026
Training events to INSPIRE + EQUIP women on their political journey
This is a dedicated Multicultural Women’s Training Workshop, facilitated by multicultural women with lived experience in political life, and specifically designed to address the additional considerations encountered by women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds when running for public office.
Have you or someone you know ever thought about standing for political office? If so, this workshop is for you!
Together, we’ll explore the unique experiences of multicultural women in politics, unpack the barriers and opportunities, and provide practical tools to help you turn your aspirations into action. You’ll hear insights from women who have successfully represented their communities and learn how your cultural strengths and leadership skills can translate powerfully into political life.
We need more women like you at the table where decisions are being made!
This free, in-person workshop includes catering. All you need to bring is your curiosity and a ‘get elected’ attitude. Once you’ve attended a Women for Election training event, you’ll have access to ongoing resources and support via our new digital education platform, “Campaign in Your Pocket”.
A quick note on our Terminology: WFE has an inclusive definition of ‘women’. We aim to engage with, and give voice to, the diverse experience of those who may identify as women – including trans, cis and non-binary.
In registering for this event, you are accepting and promising to abide by the Women for Election Code of Conduct for events, including observing WFE’s values of collaboration and inclusion.
You also acknowledge that this event provides a safe space and therefore shall not record this meeting, including through video recording, sound recording, automated minute taking and other tools, unless they are required to assist in case of a disability.
