Women for Election In Conversation with Julia Banks :: 26 August 2020

Women for Election Australia invite you to our online In Conversation series, hosted by Licia Heath. Our guest is Julia Banks, former Federal Member for Chisholm.

Julia Banks is an experienced Business Leader, Company Director, General Counsel Company Secretary, and a former Member of the Parliament of Australia.

She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 as the Liberal Member for Chisholm and was the only candidate to win a seat from the Opposition in a year when the Government was returned with a one seat majority. Amidst controversy in 2018 she resigned from the Liberal Party and stood as an Independent Member of Parliament.

Banks is a passionate advocate for gender equality and is Special Advisor to Gender Equity Victoria and an ambassador for Honour A Woman, Australia.
